Ouou Privacy Policy
Ouou is an offline iPhone utility for image compression and format conversion. Its core workflow is designed to run on your device, not on our servers. This Privacy Policy explains what information the current Ouou app can access, how it is used, and what control you have over that information.
1. Scope and Summary
This Privacy Policy applies to the current Ouou mobile application and its local HTML policy pages. Ouou is built to help you compress photos, convert between supported image formats, save outputs, and manage optional consumable coin purchases for premium actions.
Ouou does not require a user account for its core features, and it does not upload your selected photos to a remote server for compression or conversion as part of its main workflow.
2. Information We Access or Store
- Photos you choose. After you grant Photo Library permission, Ouou can read the images you select for compression or conversion.
- Image-related details. The app may read file names, file sizes, formats, and the original local photo identifier needed to support history and reprocessing on your device.
- Processed outputs and history. Exported files and local processing records are stored in the app's local storage so you can review, share, save, or delete them later.
- App settings and drafts. Preferences such as auto-save, watermark settings, and your local feedback draft are stored on-device using local app storage.
- Coin balance and local purchase state. Ouou stores your current coin balance and locally recorded transaction identifiers needed to avoid duplicate credits for consumable purchases.
- Support communications. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in that message, such as your email address and support details.
3. How We Use Information
- To compress and convert the images you choose.
- To save processed files locally, create local history records, and let you re-open, share, or delete those results.
- To apply your saved settings, including auto-save and watermark preferences.
- To manage coin balances for premium actions and reflect completed StoreKit purchases.
- To respond to support requests when you contact us.
4. Permissions, Tracking, and Apple Services
- Photo Library permission. Used only so you can choose images from your library and save processed results back to Photos if you request it or enable auto-save.
- App Tracking Transparency prompt. The current app may display Apple's tracking permission dialog during launch. Core compression and conversion features do not require you to grant tracking permission, and Ouou does not use your selected photos or local outputs for advertising.
- StoreKit services. When you view coin packs or complete a purchase, Apple may process product, billing, or transaction data under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
- Ouou does not upload your selected images to our servers for core compression or format conversion.
- Ouou does not sell or rent your personal information.
- The current build does not rely on third-party advertising or analytics SDKs for its main workflow.
- If you use the iOS share sheet, save images to the Photos app, or make an App Store purchase, the destination or service you choose may process data under its own terms and privacy policies.
6. Retention, Deletion, and Your Choices
- Local outputs and history remain on your device until you delete them in the app, remove them from Photos, or delete the app.
- Saved preferences, feedback drafts, coin balances, and local transaction records remain on your device until they are changed, cleared, or removed with the app.
- Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain support records.
- You can revoke permissions through iOS Settings at any time, although some features may no longer work as intended afterward.
7. Security
Because Ouou is designed to keep core image processing on-device, your photos are not routinely transferred to our servers for the main workflow. However, no device or transmission method is perfectly secure. You are responsible for the security of your device, your backups, and any third-party services you choose when sharing files or contacting support.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date in this page. Your continued use of Ouou after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
